I am Uttama Surve, a 15-year-old Indian girl ๐ง and the Coordinator of the Uttama Child Protection Awareness Program & Protection Organization (UCPAPPO) ๐ก️. Through my work, I aim to spread awareness about child protection ๐, educate communities ๐ค, and encourage people to stand up for children's rights and well-being ❤️.
I am inspired and guided by my father, Mr. Aniruddha Surve, who serves as a Para Legal Volunteer (PLV), Medical Representative (M.R), and social worker ๐ค⚖️๐ผ. His dedication to helping others motivates me to continue advocating for the safety ๐ก️, dignity ๐ท, and protection of every child ๐ถ.

๐ Understanding Child Rights in India
Children are the future of our nation. Every child has the right to live in a safe environment, receive quality education, enjoy good health, express their opinions, and grow with dignity. These rights are known as Child Rights, and they are protected by the Constitution of India and various national and international laws.
Despite legal protections, many children still face abuse, neglect, child labour, trafficking, child marriage, discrimination, and exploitation. Understanding child rights is the first step toward protecting every child and ensuring that they have a bright future.

Child rights are the basic human rights that belong to every child below the age of 18 years, regardless of religion, caste, gender, language, or financial background.
These rights ensure that every child can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and morally in a safe and supportive environment.

- Participate in school and community activities

⚖️ Important Child Protection Laws in India
๐ก️ POCSO Act, 2012
Protects children from sexual offences and ensures child-friendly legal procedures.
๐ง Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015
Provides care, protection, rehabilitation, and adoption for children in need.
๐ Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE)
Ensures free and compulsory education for children aged 6 to 14 years.
๐ซ Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2016
Prohibits the employment of children in hazardous occupations and regulates adolescent work.
