Hello everyone! 

I am Uttama Surve, a 14-year-old coordinator of the "Uttama Child Protection Awareness Program and Protection Organization." Today, I want to discuss a very important topic - Empowering Our Future This is an issue that affects millions of children worldwide, and it is not just my responsibility, but all of ours, to ensure the safety and well-being of every child.

I take pride in the fact that my dad, Aniruddha Surve, who is a dedicated PLV (Para-Legal Volunteer), supports me in this important work. His guidance and support empower me to achieve my goals. Together, we are dedicated to creating a safe and happy environment where all children have the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

**"Awareness is the power of children and freedom from exploitation."**

Child protection is essential for ensuring every child's right to a safe and nurturing environment. It’s about shielding them from threats—be it abuse, neglect, or exploitation. But how do we create a society where every child feels secure?

The Three Pillars of Child Protection :-

1. Prevention of Abuse :-

   Every child deserves protection from violence, child labor, and child marriage. We must take a stand against these practices to create a safer world for our children.

2. Supportive Environments :-  

   Schools and communities must be places where children feel heard and valued. Teachers and local leaders should actively listen, ensuring every child has access to support and resources.

3. Effective Response :-  

   When abuse occurs, timely and effective responses are critical. Access to counseling and a caring police force can help children recover and thrive.

 

How to Implement Protection :-

•  Raise Awareness :- Utilize laws, policies, and community services to educate about child rights and protection.

  

• Adopt Child-Friendly Practices :- Encourage adults to engage in practices that prioritize children's well-being.

• Mobilize the Community :- Inspire collective actions to create a supportive network for children's safety.

The Role of Community and Society :-

• Safety Everywhere :- Protection must be present in families, schools, institutions, police custody, and communities.

• Vigilance is Key :- Everyone needs to remain alert and proactive about children's safety.

The Ongoing Need for Protection :-

• Constant Vigilance:- Regularly create safe spaces and environments for children.

• Immediate Intervention:- Act quickly in critical situations where children's rights are in jeopardy.

Who Holds the Responsibility?

• Shared Duty :- All members of society—parents, teachers, officials, social workers, caregivers, police, and children themselves—must play a role in ensuring safety.
